Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Budget and Personnel Specialist works independently to provide highly complex administrative office support for the Chief of Staff and the Office of the President; performs specialized work of a highly sensitive and confidential nature, including personnel matters and legal proceedings. This work also requires management of special projects demanding extensive research and analysis, as well as access to a variety of sources and forms of information.
The incumbent oversees all budgeting processes, including budget preparation and submission for the Office of the President and Strategic Communications and Marketing, a unit that reports to the Office of the President. The incumbent also supports the Chief of Staff with managing administrative searches and reviews and serves as the contact for all personnel matters for the Office of the President and Strategic Communications and Marketing. Additionally, the incumbent supports the Chief of Staff with all matters relating to strategic plan implementation, including conducting research for strategic plan implementation work groups, organizing meetings, and with planning for campus-wide activities and events sponsored by the Office of the President. Finally, the incumbent provides office support and guidance to student assistants; contributes to a welcoming environment for students, employees and community members; supports the overall operations of the Office of the President; and completes special projects as assigned.
