The BSW Assistant Internship Coordinator is a member of the Internship Team consisting of the Internship Coordinator, the BSW Assistant Internship Coordinator, and the Distance Program Coordinator. This position will assist in internship practicum development for BSW students; screen and place all BSW students in internship practicums and volunteer experience; participate in internship team meetings; assist in the orientation and ongoing training of agency internship instructors.

 

The School of Social Work offers Council on Social Work Education-accredited BSW and MSW programs. The mission of the School is to develop knowledge for social work practice, policy, and research through an evidence-informed advanced generalist curriculum, liberatory teaching and community-engaged scholarship, and to advance racial, economic, environmental, and social justice in our school, university, community, and state. Typical hiring salary for this part-time, 20-hours per week, 11-month work year position is $21,500 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required:

  • Typically has the education associated with an MSW degree and at least three years of agency-based social work practice experience.
  • Familiarity with the internship experience in social work education

Preferred:

  • Experience as an internship instructor
  • Teaching experience
