Summary of Position
Keene State College’s Facilites Services Department invites applications for a Boiler Technician to provide operation of the central heat and power plant while ensuring the safe operation of our boilers, steam turbine and related equipment to the campus heat plant.

Other minimum qualifications
High School or Technical School graduation or equivalent apprenticeship and four years’ experience as a pipefitter, or mechanic in a boiler environment, including one year of supervisory experience; knowledge of heating systems, boiler and other related power equipment, boiler chemistry and water testing procedures, boiler codes and safety standards; proven oral and written communication skills; demonstrated experience with computer applications including MS Word or equivalent, Excel, Outlook, etc.; proven organizational and documentation skills; the ability to work independently and effectively as a team member; valid driver’s license. Position involves heavy lifting, working in a variety of workplace conditions and ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary. Post offer, pre-employment physical exam also required. Position requires off-hour call backs and some weekend and evening hours.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Three years experience working with steam; knowledge of computerized building automation systems; stationary boiler operators license or equivalent; valid New Hampshire gas license or additional boiler certification or licensing. Salary Information
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. Starting salary range is $20.98-$26.66, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.
