BME, Senior Research Technician


Department:
Engineering | Biomedical Engineering

Works closely with Dr. Veeraraghavan to conduct experiments aimed at uncovering the mechanisms of inflammation-induced impacts on neurocardiology and develop novel therapies for the prevention of cardiac arrhythmia. Collaborates with the lab of Dr. Weinberg to integrate findings into novel computational modeling frameworks. Works closely with PIs to assist with development of research goals for multiple independent projects to design and implement experiments, place these findings in the broader context of abstracts/manuscripts and generate key preliminary data for grants. Assists with development computer code using a wide variety of platforms. Plans, designs and implements novel image analysis approaches. Works receives instructions/assignments but works independently with little supervision. Must be able to complete projects with minimum direction. Assists with development and training of lab members. Seeks opportunities to develop new avenues of research on microscopy and cardiac electrophysiology.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Medicine or equivalent experience required. 2 years of relevant experience in Biomedical Engineering or Medicine after required degree required.

Desired: Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Medicine preferred. 2 years of relevant experience in Biomedical Engineering or Medicine preferred.


Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $17.10 - $22.62. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
