Job Overview

Under general supervision from a designated supervisor, typically a Building Maintenance Superintendent 2, assist in the management of a respective trade and perform master trade work.


Essential Functions
  • Serve as a working craftsperson.
  • Act as lead worker as required.
  • Serve as a working assistant.
  • Perform duties of supervisor in his/her absence.
  • Independently make crew level or “how to” decisions regarding work performed.
  • Order supplies/equipment with supervisor’s approval.
  • Conduct on-the-job training.
  • May be responsible for maintaining shop files.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Minimum Requirements

Must have an approved certificate from an accredited related apprenticeship program and four years related work experience following the apprenticeship program, including one year supervisory experience; or high school/GED diploma and six years related work experience, including one year supervisory experience. Must also have current valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

 Shift: First    Starting Pay Rate: $28.79 per hour    Post Probationary Rate: $30.23 per hour

All qualifying applicants will be notified of the date and time of the written examination via email. Applicants that pass the written examination will be notified regarding next steps.
