The Division of Epidemiology and the Cancer Biostatistics Shared Resource at Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor-level position in the Research Track.
We are seeking candidates with the research skills and experience required to successfully assume leadership roles in multi-disciplinary research teams and to support and develop grant proposals. The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in methodological research. Substantive interest and experience are desired in one or more of the following areas: methods for cancer research, modern causal inference, behavioral statistics, clinical trial design, analysis of secondary data, machine learning and high dimensional data analysis, and spatial transcriptomics.
The Cancer Biostatistics Research supports cancer-related research with the Huntsman Cancer Institute Cancer Biostatistics Resource include the design and analysis of clinical trials and observational studies, cancer research, analysis of longitudinal and survival data, epidemiologic modeling, Bayesian analysis, modern causal inference, statistical genetics and genomics, machine learning methods, spatial transcriptomics and behavioral statistics and psychometrics.
Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in biostatistics or a related discipline, as well as a demonstrated excellence in collaborative and methodological research.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience writing statistical sections for grant applications is desired.
