The CLINICAL ENGINEERING department has an outstanding opportunity for a full time, day shift, BIOMEDICAL ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR. The BIOMEDICAL ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR is responsible for the daily operations of the main general medical equipment shop of the Clinical Engineering department. When necessary, provides on-site maintenance support of Medical Equipment and related systems including maintenance, calibration, repair, technical support, and user training. Participates in maintaining the service records on all equipment included in the program. Participates in maintaining the performance improvement activities within the shops and participates in QA activities.  Participates in assuring the competency of all personnel.  Maintains efficient and effective shop operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

Job Duties & Performance Standards

Interviews and selects applicants
Provides direct maintenance support of medical equipment
Provides technical training and support to subordinates and customers
Ensures subordinates receive training appropriate to their duties and are competent in all aspects of their duties
Schedules and assigns work to subordinates
Conducts performance evaluations
Ensures compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and regulatory laws, standards and protocols
Participates in maintaining and assuring the integrity of data within the Clinical Engineering CMMS
Manages the scheduled maintenance program for their areas of responsibility
Performs other related duties as assigned
