| Job Description: |
Harvesting, fixation, processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining of paraffin and frozen sections. Quality control (QC) of all processes following Good Laboratory Practice standard operating procedures (SOP). Routine Special staining (PAS, PAS-D, AF-H&E, etc.) and Specific Special staining (Silver or any new protocol created upon submitters request). General Immunolocalization (enzyme, fluorescent) for proteins using multiple primary and secondary antibodies with troubleshooting ability. Develop new protocols of Multiplex stains on Leica Bond RX Autostainer. Immunolocalization for DNA/RNA using in situ hybridization. Provide consultation with submitters regarding experimental design and selection of optimal probe type to maximum outcomes. Operate LMD (Laser Microdissection Microscope), nCounter and GeoMX Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP) as backup person. Microscopy and digital slide scanning with image analysis for collecting and evaluating special stains or immunolocalization data accumulated in ongoing research and preparing statistical analysis of the image analysis.

| Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related field and seven years of experience or Master’s degree in biology or a related field with five year of experience. Doctoral degree in biology or related field with two years of experience. |
| Preferred Qualifications: | Experience in histology and immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence, light microscopy (direct and fluorescence), and related techniques. Image analysis using ImageJ or similar. Computer knowledge to utilize laboratory information management system. |
