Job Summary

This position reports to the UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) Administrative Director in the Department of Neurology. This position supports basic and clinical research and investigators in the ADRC. Incumbent will act as a bioinformaticist/biostatistician on a variety of projects led by investigators, in addition to providing general statistical support. Incumbent will participate in projects to include data cleaning, statistical analysis, creating summary reports, participating in discussions with researchers, participating in publication of papers in scientific journals, and helping to write proposals for future funding.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants are encouraged to upload license and certification if required of the position. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field.
  • Experience in scholarly publication and/or grant preparation.
  • Proficient in SAS or R software.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a research environment either in a university or industry setting.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of databases.
  • Working knowledge of modern biology and applicable field of research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field.

Department Description

The UC Davis ADRC is one of 32 federally funded Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers. All ADRCs are structured with several cores including a Data Management and Statistics Core in which this position will be housed.
