Job Summary
The Institute for Biomedical Informatics is seeking an Bioinformatics Analyst to join our team. Our ideal candidate must be innovative, detail-oriented, and motivated to solve challenges while also providing superb customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. In this role you will:
• Perform sequence reads alignment and identify differentially expressed genes based on RNA-seq data
• Develop computer scripts to automate and customize data processing and statistical analysis
• Execute data mining from genomic data repositories and create summary reports
• Perform bioinformatics and statistical analysis for other types of high-throughput data such as MS, NMR or NanoString data
This position is currently hybrid. A fully-remote schedule may be an option.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Proficient in C, C++, Python, R; Familiar with DESeq2, GATK, Bismark, IPA and other bioinformatics software; good statistical skills.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
At least a year of experience in mass spectrometry and/or proteomics analysis.
