- Learn the skills needed to participate in monitoring and research programs involving bird banding. Puget Sound Bird Observatory is offering a Beginning Bird Bander Training, a five-day hands-on training class that takes place over two weekends in August (August 19-21 and August 27-28, 2022). Participants will learn the fundamentals of bird banding through a combination of classroom instruction and in-the-field banding across two locations, first in Edmonds and then in Shoreline, Washington. - Qualifications
- No prior experience necessary, but some knowledge of birds and field biology is helpful. We will be asking for proof of Covid-19 vaccination this year to protect all participants and staff.
