|Summary of Duties||
The Banquet Captain reports directly to the Banquet Manager as well as the Assistant Banquet Manager and assists with many aspects of the banquet operation at The Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Hall Conference Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing banquet event orders (BEOs) to accurately execute events through expertise and hotel standards. Must provide genuinely friendly, positive and professional guest service; this is also expected in regards to the environment provided for employees. Maintains a strong presence for assigned events before, during and after to ensure hotel standards and guest expectations are met. Assists with proper set-up and teardown of events and equipment, ensuring items are stored appropriately. Assists in coaching of student staff as needed. Assists with office responsibilities such as scheduling and billing. Flexible work hours to meet the demand of the operation includes mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; three years of wait service experience.
Previous supervisory experience or work experience in a leadership role.
