Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm


Job Summary: The BAMA STOP Program Coordinator assists the research team in all aspects to successfully implement the grant activities outlined by the U.S. Department of Justice in this program's work plan. Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project. Serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. Supervises student workers. Provides general office assistance. Creates promotional materials. Assists in the development of other potential projects.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, criminal justice, public health, social work, communication, or psychology and two (2) years of experience; OR master's degree in education, criminal justice, public health, social work, communication, or psychology and some experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong leadership, facilitation, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Travel to participating high schools (a background check and MVR will be required). Positive attitude. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Also required are computer skills, not limited to spreadsheet applications, personal computing networks, and internet software.
Must have the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary groups under high levels of activity. The incumbent must be detail oriented and manage details to meet deadlines. Anticipates and plans proactively for known deadlines and annual reporting cycles.


Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree, masters or doctorate in education, criminal justice, public health, social work, communication, or psychology. Experience with creating deliverables, grant writing, management, and reporting requirements.
