As the awards coordinator, you will help tell the story of SCAD and contribute to positive media and recognition of SCAD student and faculty talent and instructional excellence. In this role, you will compile student work, prepare application submissions, and package and submit materials to national and international student and professional competitions. Your responsibilities will include gathering required student information to ensure applications are complete and prioritizing high-quality, high-visibility competitions such as Disney Imaginations, Red Dot, The Rookies, Coca-Cola Refreshing Films, International Design Awards, European Design Awards, and Fast Company.

In this position it is your responsibility to follow up with students as necessary to prepare submission documents and portfolio materials; work with faculty, academic leaders, and students to maximize the number of submissions each year; and identify and vet new competitions. As the coordinator you will ensure all academic departments are represented in the SCAD student awards program while entering relevant data and reporting into the system.

The coordinator collaborates with the assistant director to ensure all SCAD's academic programs are represented through the awards program, that award results continue to grow each year, and that partners in other SCAD departments have easy access to award information to further share SCAD's story in regional, national, and international media.

Minimum Qualifications:     

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Cognos, and Qualtrix
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to multitask and pay close attention to details

Travel Required:

  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
