POSITION SUMMARY:
The AV Technician I installs and maintains audio visual equipment. This includes all AV Solutions such as: Control System Automation, Room Monitoring Systems, Live Event Production, Lecture Capture, Digital Signage, Digital Sound Processing, Live Streaming and Video Conferencing/ Unified Communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
AV Phone Support: Provide Tier 1 Help Desk support for Audio Video/ IT-related calls. Document issues in a ticketing database and help develop knowledge bases for known issues and resolutions.
AV Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 1-level real-time troubleshooting and resolution of AV issues in support of technology in classrooms, conference rooms, event spaces and lobbies. Advise instructors about operation of classroom equipment.
Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain AV infrastructure including cabling/ termination and support of AV equipment such as projector maintenance, audio troubleshooting and inventory audits. Performs monthly room checks and periodic full system checks.
AV Events: Operate equipment to enhance effects of sound and display at live events. Provide logistical support and customer support hospitality assistance for special events when needed.
Participate in professional development activities as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and relevant certification, OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1-year relevant work experience, OR Bachelor's degree
