Job Summary

Cambridge College located in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking an Audio-Video Multimedia Collections Specialist. This position will interact, manage, maintain, plan and prepare multimedia teaching aids and AV systems for the Cambridge College community. Will be the point person to manage events and help guide users with utilizing appropriate multimedia teaching aids and AV technology for use in education; will work with control systems programming and debugging;  instruct faculty members on the usage of classroom AV equipment; coordinate, execute, and support the multimedia requirements of executive, education, and routine meetings in a fast-paced customer service focused college/conference center environment; provide management, installation, programming, configuration and maintenance of all classroom related AV technology such as Cisco, Creston and Extron control systems including DSPs, touch screens, matrix mixers, switchers and codec’s; be the primary contact related to events requiring multimedia teaching aids and AV technology, AV recordings and projects including video conferencing, distance learning and lecture capture technologies; and maintain an appropriate level of documentation and catalog of multimedia library. 


Minimum Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position are a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, two years’ experience in IT-related field and one year of experience troubleshooting and working with Crestron or any multimedia teaching aids or audio-visual systems, which experience may be gained during undergraduate studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Programming certification in Crestron preferred.  The successful candidate must be comfortable working with Crestron Control Systems; have ability to setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment and devices as required producing fully functional systems; be a self-starter, self-motivated, and a dependable team player; have excellent customer service skills and be a team player; ability to multi-task and learn new duties and procedures quickly is essential; experience working in an educational environment is highly desirable; have working knowledge of Audio Visual conference systems such as Zoom, WebEx or Skype; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Windows 8 & 10, Mac OS 10+; demonstrated proficiency with PC and Mac; basic knowledge and troubleshooting of: TCP/IP, VLAN, WIFI concepts, and basic computer parts; and basic knowledge of wired and wireless technologies.
