The Athletics Inclusion Educator serves as a subject-matter expert in issues of diversity, equity and inclusion for the department. Working in coordination with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Director of Athletics, the Inclusion Educator instructs department staff and student-athletes on best practices on various aspects of inclusion.        

Job Description

  • Conduct baseline educational programs for all first-year student-athletes – 40%
  • Conduct educational sessions for the professional staff during scheduled staff meetings – 30%
  • Consulting with the Director of DEI Programming, Education, Training and Development from the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, to discuss the intersection of university-wide and department programming – 20%
  • Consulting with the Director of Athletics and Associate Director of Athletics on inclusive practices during department search and screening process – 10%

Additional Job Description

  • Education: B.A./B.S. required.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours - morning, evenings and weekends work may be required.
  • CPR/AED certification required.

Hours / Schedule

  • Dates: September 13th – November 19th (2021) / January 24 – April 29 (2022)
