I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary: | Communications and Marketing develops and implements strategy and tactics for showcasing and raising the visibility of the university’s experts, initiatives, and accomplishments. It manages media inquiries and interviews with senior university leadership and produces print and online publications to showcase the university. The Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking an Athletics Communications Specialist. The Athletics Communications Specialist serves as a spokesperson for GW Athletics and is a public relations strategist, developing and executing plans to elevate the profile of GW Athletics. The position provides daily communications support to a variety of constituents and stakeholders of GW Athletics to elevate the profile and brand of the Department of Athletics. This position is the primary point of contact for several intercollegiate sports. Responsibilities Include:

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
