Job Description
Notre Dame Athletics believes that our student-athletes are part of our family forever. This is why we say our commitment to them is for more than 4 years, it’s “4 for Forever.” As a valued member of the Grow Lead Do Center (GLD), this exciting position will be critical in bringing our “4 for Forever’’ commitment to life. They will develop and direct a proactive and systematic engagement, support, and community building strategy for football alumni as well as Monogram winners in all sports who are competing for or have recently retired from a professional sports organization and/or Olympic team. Additionally, this position will lead initiatives to support the development and mentorship of current student-athletes who aspire to compete as professional and/or Olympic athletes and will support GLD Center leadership and personal development programming as a facilitator, presenter, and/or advisor.

Main responsibilities of this role include:
●        Strategically communicating with and developing meaningful engagement opportunities for Notre Dame’s football, professional sports, and Olympic team alumni;
●      Developing and implementing best in class initiatives and resources that enhance the total development of Notre Dame’s football, professional sports, and Olympic team alumni;
●        Partnering with student-athlete development team members to enhance all areas of personal development – including but not limited to leadership, career, spirituality, service, and well-being – by activating our alumni network to enrich initiatives;
●        Representing the department of athletics at key University events during football weekends and throughout the academic year;
●        Assisting with special projects and initiatives of our department – i.e. Diversity & Inclusion Council, Special Guest Hosting, Sport Administration Program, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Have experience as a Division I student-athlete and/or Professional or Olympic athlete
  • Must have relationship building skills while working with diverse groups
  • Must be able to organically connect with current and former student athletes

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in higher education, communication, business, sports management or similar disciplines.
  • Previous experience working with Division I student-athletes or Professional or Olympic athletes
