Provide athletic training support intercollegiate athletics. Provides athletic training services including testing, evaluation, assignment for training regimens, treatment of injuries, rehabilitation and medical referrals. Under the supervision of a physician, works with student athletes to provide care, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses both on campus and at game venues. Provide injury prevention measures such as appliances, braces and devices for control of joint motion and limb protection. Collaborates with physical therapist regarding rehabilitation progress and return-to-play planning of injured athletes. Provides daily injury reports, and reports status and progress of injured athletes to team physicians and coaches. Maintains established safety standards. Provides first aid support. May instruct recreation programs. Works closely with Head Athletic Trainer to manage, plan, and supervise all aspects of the athletic training program, and acts as lead in the absence of the Head Athletic Trainer. Valid driver's license is required. 



Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or other health related field (biology, nutrition, physical education).
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in Athletic Training or other health related field
Required Experience:
2 years' athletic trainer experience at the high school or collegiate level.
Preferred Experience:
3 to 5 years athletic training experience at the collegiate level.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
NATA (National Athletic Trainers Association) Certification, First Aid and CPR Certification, AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) Training. Participation in NATA continuing education programs to maintain certification.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Same as E.F. above as well as topic presenter for NATA conventions.



In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $62,000 to USD $72,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
