Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General knowledge of NCAA rules
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs and XOS video system
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively
  • General softball Knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Other Requirements or Other Factors

  • Travel required with assigned sport
  • Nights, weekends and holidays as required to complete assigned duties

  • Advanced knowledge of NCAA rules

Responsibilities:

  • Scouting Video - Works with Softball coaching staff in developing media for use in analysis and scouting to incorporate into game plans for Texas A&M Softball Team. Runs the XOS video scouting system, cuts and edits film, shoots and prepares practice video, melts files for individual players review, and prepares and presents video for use in scouting of competition and self-scouting.
  • Supervise - Supervises and manages 4-6 student managers in the areas of video scouting, equipment management, bullpen management, and practice preparation.
  • Equipment - Responsible for the ordering and proper control of all hard and soft goods equipment for the Softball program including the control, distribution,  and inventory protection.
  • Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athlete: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality, and other areas as deemed appropriate. Maintains awareness of and supports the diversity and inclusion initiatives of the Athletics Department. Performs other duties as assigned.
