Job Description:

Advising
• Provide academic and career advising to online business students via Zoom, web, email, and telephone.
•Assist students with identification of academic and career plans, and long-term academic and career goals.
* Monitor academic progress, including probation, honors, and tracking progression through degree requirements.
*Serve as liaison to other key students’ services offices at UF (e.g., UF Online OneStop, Admissions, Registrar, Financial Services, Financial Aid, Disability Resources, Bookstore) for online business students
•Utilize UF’s student services databases and student records systems (e.g. myUFL, Compas, Canvas)
Programming
* Manage and oversee all virtual and in-person programming efforts for online business student population.
* Lead and maintain the Heavener Career and Leadership Challenge (HCLC) extracurricular activities, including reviewing and updating program requirements, overseeing the application processes, scheduling and facilitating workshops, and collaborating with business faculty.
•Participate in orientation for online students each semester.
•Update and connect with students in the online student center and YellowDig community engagement platform in Canvas.
* Participate in semesterly Welcome & Student Panel orientation events, and Heavener Online Welcome orientation sessions.
* Plan and facilitate annual, on-campus Online Business Program Meet-up.
Supervision
* Supervise one Academic Advisor
Assessment
* Devise and implement new assessment strategies related to student satisfaction, engagement, and retention for the online business student population. Generate and analyze monthly reports, and review with Director of Online Programs.
* Create outward facing student highlights to showcase high achieving and highly involved online business students.
Administrative Tasks
* Facilitate and/or participate in regularly scheduled administrative tasks such as online team, Heavener team, supervisor roundtable meetings, quarterly evaluations, and student petition reviews.
Service & Development
* Serve on college level and campus-wide student support teams and committees (e.g. University Advising Community, UF Online Advising Circle)
* Seek out, facilitate, participate in, and report back on professional development opportunities
Miscellaneous
Assist with overall mission of the Heavener School of Business (HSB), Experiential Learning Department (ExL), or Warrington College of Business. This may include:
* Teach one or more Warrington Welcome (GEB2015) sections annually
* Assist with Experiential Learning or Heavener School of Business programs (e.g. awards banquets, educational sessions, program facilitation, etc.)
* Participate in and support various events for online and on-campus business students, including University commencement ceremonies.
* Act as a faculty advisor to online business student organizations when possible
* Other duties as assigned by the Director of the Heavener School of Business, Director of Online Programs and direct supervisor.


 
Expected Salary:

$60,000 - $65,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 3 years full-time work experience
