Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
As Assistant Head Men & Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Coach, individual will assist the Head Coach in coaching and administration of the NCAA DII intercollegiate programs. This includes, but not limited to: administration of responsibilities of the team, recruiting, team travel, campus, community and alumni outreach and other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Individual will have primary focus on cross country, distance, and mid-distance. Includes nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Three years minimum experience coaching or playing at a collegiate level Cross Country and/or Track & Field program.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of collegiate Cross Country and/or Track & Field programs.

Job Duty
Serves as Assistant coach for USCB Cross Country & Track & Field program and is responsible for day to day coaching of student-athletes. Specifically responsible for teaching, training, and instructing all aspects of a college level Cross Country & Track & Field program. Primary responsibility of coaching, training, and recruiting cross country, distance, and mid-distance.

Assists with in-season and off-season strength and conditioning program for the team: to include teaching proper form, instruction on workouts for set muscle groups, and overseeing day to day team workout

Assists the Head Coach in overseeing all aspects of academic enhancement and staying current on academic progress of Cross Country & Track & Field student-athletes. Assist with student housing and admission issues and coordination of efforts with on-campus student services. Assists with

Available on weekends and evenings in order to recruit student – athletes. Knowledge and understanding of all eligibility and recruiting rules in the NCAA Division II, Peach Belt Conference and admission standards of USCB. Help maintain accountability for Cross Country and Track & Field scholarship limitations.
