Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinates and monitors the design, development, modifications and implementations of the department’s data assets; provides technical support and leadership for the environment; coordinates and monitors the access of stakeholders to the department Data.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $105,000 per year; DOE


Essential Duties

  • Examines data to understand trends and derive insights by streamlining the effort needed to search for, merge and query data necessary to make sound business decisions.
  • Performs end to end statistical data analyses including extracting from multiple systems and organizing into an easily digestible format suitable for executive review.
  • Manages datasets and standardized metrics through various statistical software potentially including BI tools to ensure robust and meaningful information and data is available for statistical and predictive analysis.
  • Manages and ensures data quality to support modeling requirements.
  • Develops and leads defining relevant University Business Services operational metrics as a means to provide additional information and drive data driven insights.
  • Creates, manages, and oversees communication mediums for documenting and delivering results (e.g., graphs, PowerPoint slides, data visualization in Tableau or other BI tools).
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in a related business field like statistics, finance, or management information systems; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.


Desired Qualifications

  • Evidence of a Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Experience in data or business analytics with a proven track record in data-rich analysis.
  • Experience in translating complex analytics to business-shaping actions and strategies that are understood by business users.

Working Environment

EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.

EdPlus at ASU supports flexible work options, ranging from alternate work schedules to hybrid remote work schedules, subject to approvals per ASU policy.
