Advertised Job Summary | Assistant Director for College of Engineering and Computing (CEC) Career Center · Are you looking for an opportunity to assist students in career development and success post college? · Are you a self-starter with excellent communication skills? · Do you enjoy meeting new people and learning about new industries and technologies? · Do you have the ability to connect and build rapport quickly? Primary duties include: · Develop and maintain relationships with College of Engineering & Computing faculty, administration, and staff. · Manage a small multi-talented team of professionals. · Market, develop, and enhance programs and services to ensure delivery of high impact services for both employers and students who use Career Center services. · Teach career development and job search skills to students. · Work with Career Center staff to deliver quality internship and co-operation education experiences for students. Minimum Qualifications | Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 3 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience. Position requires some evening and weekend work and travel. |
Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree in student services or related field and 4 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience. Experience with Handshake, EAB Navigate, and PeopleSoft. Some experience working with Employers in a Career Center environment. This position will require some evening and weekend work as well as travel. |

Job Duty | SUPERVISION: Supervises College of Engineering & Computing Career Center Satellite Office career development staff in the delivery of student services. Supervises administrative staff who support office operations. Coordinates closely with the Senior Associate Director of of Career Development and Experiential Education for consistency of philosophy, policy and procedures in order to deliver quality service to students. |
