Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The AD for External Affairs supports the College of Social Work’s mission by overseeing and managing the College’s overall communication strategy. Serves as the “face” of the Dean for arranging communications and should be such by the administrators and staffs of these entities. Manage and directs the CoSW Development and Communications offices. Manage the Development and Communications teams with planning communications for recruitment and admissions, social media, websites and ensuring consistency. Manage the Dean’s schedule for appointments with external entities. Manage requests from boards of directors and the professional journals. Maintain database of contacts.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master’s degree and 1 year related experience in business, public administration or administrative services, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience; or equivalency.
