The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the management and administration of the Women's Basketball program. The Assistant coach will have various recruiting, scouting, and coaching responsibilities as determined by the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for leading all areas of scouting and analytics and working with Head Coach and other Assistant Coaches on all practice and game planning.  Responsible for maintaining compliance with all NCAA, ACC, institutional and departmental rules and regulations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist head coach with management and administration of the program including game and practice coaching assignments, all preparatory meetings and assist in implementation of strategy.  UtilizeHudl/SportsCode and SYNERGY software to break down games for analysis.

Lead scouting prep for Head Coach

Identify trends and develop game plan with Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator and specific staff

Completes special assignments which require collecting, organizing and analyzing data and producing reports which may be the basis of significant decisions for Head Women’s Basketball Coach with special emphasis on:

Creating game planning for opponents

Developing post-game analysis and projects / self-scout

Developing individual Player strengths and weakness projects for the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches

Practice Squad/Scout Team

Coordinate practice squad and scout team needs with Director of Player Development

Prepare practice squad as “Opponent” and assist in game planning

Gameday dutiesPrepare gametime Concepts on Bench

Understand and prepare play call & results for immediate dissemination

Other video services

Assist coordinator of video services with all video needs

Create videos for special events

Support all recruiting needs

Officials evaluations after each game

Responsible for providing all official evaluations after games per ACC requirements.

Analyzing potential recruits’ strengths and weaknesses and present findings to Head Coach

Travel to all away contests. Assist with on-campus recruiting Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Assist with local coaching clinics and camps Other duties as assigned by Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelors degree, preferably two years coaching experience - including recruiting and scouting experience. Candidate must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
