The Structural Materials (SM) Division at the University of Dayton Research (UDRI) Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer to support test programs that produce mechanical property data for mechanical characterization, structural integrity evaluation, and life prediction methodology. Position is within the Advanced Materials Characterization Group. Location is at WPAFB. Roles and responsibilities include assisting with equipment configuration necessary to support test programs, participate in project planning, execute plans as a test operator, work closely with technical staff in all facets of operating and maintaining a mechanical testing facility. This position principally supports laboratory operations and will incur periodic activities that are dirty and oily. |

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
