Job Description:

The Associate Provost for Enrollment Management will provide leadership and strategic vision to SUNY Polytechnic Institute's enrollment, recruitment, retention, and financial aid programs. Reporting to the Provost, the Associate Provost provides oversight and leadership to the Undergraduate Admissions Office, the Graduate Admissions Office (including international admissions), the Financial Aid Office, and the Coordinator of Enrollment Marketing Office. Responsibilities will include the development and implementation of a strategic enrollment management plan that aligns with the institutional strategic plan and will creatively grow and diversify enrollment at the institution, guide institutional efforts to increase retention, and position the institution as New York and the nation's premier public polytechnic institute. The Associate Provost provides daily oversight of the Slate CRM for all admissions functions including the enrollment funnel and key pipelines, and an extensive communication plan that includes specialized campaigns for key populations at all stages of the funnel. In addition, the Associate Provost works closely with key marketing and communications staff to ensure alignment of enrollment marketing priorities with institutional marketing and branding efforts. This position also has the authority to assist in developing and making policy. Other reasonable duties as assigned.

  • Lead supervision of functions and employees in the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Offices, Financial Aid, and Enrollment Marketing and provide leadership and support to the entire Enrollment Management Team. Provide leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure goals, programs, activities, and personnel practices are consistent with and contribute to the Institution's goals and strategies.  Design and implement operating strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of SUNY Poly's Enrollment Management offices. Lead employees for maximum performance and complete performance management feedback and goals per requirements.
  • Work closely with Institutional Research, Communications and Marketing, College Deans, Admissions Directors, and appropriate Student Affairs professionals to analyze and report enrollment data/trends and recruitment initiatives in support of institutional goals identified in the institution's strategic enrollment plan.
  • Work in partnership with the financial aid director, senior leadership, and other appropriate stakeholders to develop financial leveraging strategies that support optimal enrollment.
  • Collaborating and engaging with stakeholders in enrollment priorities to develop and implement an aggressive, creative, and strategic enrollment plan that utilizes current technology and data partnered with a highly personalized approach to attract an increasingly broad and diversified student population.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Salary: $105,000 - $120,000

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a Master's degree from a College or University accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization with responsible experience in academic administration at the departmental or similar level and successful experience in college or university in a leadership role.
  • 7-10 years of demonstrated success in admissions, enrollment management, and/or financial aid required.
  • Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and human relations skills required; ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Demonstrated success with current enrollment strategies, such as enrollment forecasting, financial aid leveraging, social media, and web-based recruitment tools.
  • Knowledge of information technologies for recruitment and enrollment (BANNER, Argos, CRM).

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Slate CRM.
  • Demonstrated success with international recruitment and enrollment.
  • Experience in or demonstrated knowledge of enrollment marketing strategies.
