Position Description:

The Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) in the Division of Medical Oncology/Hematology, Department of Medicine at the University of Louisville in the School of Medicine is actively recruiting applicants for a faculty position (open rank). Candidates should have strong interests in malignant hematology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and other cell therapies. Aside from inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, the candidate will assist in and conduct clinical research, teaching, and development of academic programs (i.e., CAR-T cell program) in division. Opportunities for clinical research include novel preparative regimens, graft manipulation, new forms of graft versus host disease prophylaxis and long-term outcome and survivorship issues after transplant. A fully operational GMP facility is available for advanced cell therapy and manipulation. The Blood Cancers, Cellular Therapeutics and Transplant (BCT) program is an integral part of the BMT section.

This is a full time Faculty position. Academic rank, track and salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Qualifications include board certification/eligible in Hematology, Oncology or both specialties. The recruit is expected to devote a significant portion of their time to protocol development and prospective clinical research. Job requirements for this position include: - Medical degree: MD, MD/PhD, DO, or foreign equivalent; - Completion of an accredited Medical Oncology/Hematology Fellowship Training program.
