The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases is hiring an Associate Professor of Research with a focus on research projects aimed at determining the impact of laboratory practices on healthcare-associated infection rates.

• This person will identify the barriers that physicians face while ordering and interpreting infectious disease diagnostic tests.
• The chosen candidate will work on implementing clinical decision support and educational tools to address test utilization challenges and improve healthcare outcomes.
• Additionally, the selected candidate will participate in ID Divisional education activities by leading Microbiology education for our fellowship program via core lectures, providing education for the Department by giving DOIM Grand rounds as appropriate and assisting the Co-Directors of M2 class entitled Multisystem.

Must have obtained a Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position. For positions within Performing and Studio Arts or Nursing, an appropriate Master’s degree may replace the Doctoral requirement. 

Ph.D. in (X) or a related field.
