General Description

Johns Hopkins Carey Business School invites applications for a practice-track (non-tenure track) faculty position in the discipline of Management & Organization to start in January 2025.

We welcome applications from candidates motivated by the unique opportunity to participate in building a world-class business school at a premier private university.We are especially interested in candidates with a passion for teaching and a strong record in the classroom, delivering high quality business education to graduate and professional students. 

Responsibilities: Teaching advanced courses in management and leadership at the MBA level (both full- and part-time MBA), with a focus on ethics and decision-making. Providing curricular leadership for academic programs at the MBA/MS level. Although this is primarily a teaching position, practice track faculty are expected to engage with and mentor students, participate in the research community at the school (e.g., by attending research seminars and brownbags), and help in designing and delivering executive education programs across multiple platforms and markets. We also value publications and contributions to research that informs practice and policy.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  •           A PhD, which must be conferred by the employment start date
  •           Demonstrated teaching success in business school courses on leadership, ethics, and decision-making
  •           Strong background in research and evidence-based teaching
  •           Experience in programmatic leadership and institutional service

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  •           PhD focused on psychology and/or ethics
  •           Record of interdisciplinary research in organizations
  •           Successful prior engagement with experienced professionals and non-traditional students (including private sector and governmental organizations)
  •         Demonstrated experience teaching in executive education programs

The appointment will be made at Associate Professor of Practice level.
