Position Description:

The Institute for Health and Equity, Division of Epidemiology & Social Sciences and the Office of Global Health is seeking to hire a motivated, collaborative, innovative researcher with a proven record in funding and Native American partnerships.  The position would be an Associate/Full Professor in the traditional path commensurate with experience.

Primary responsibilities, as needed, will include: (i) building an independent, externally funded, research program; (ii) teaching within the Master of Science Global Health Equity program and or PhD in Public and Community Health Program; (iii) act as a resource for additional educational, research, and/or community service activities as needed; (iv) furthering Native American and Indigenous collaborations.  

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) has approximately 1,600 full-time and part-time faculty. MCW has a long and illustrious history in biostatistical and translational research. Data science and clinical trial design are key strategic priorities at MCW. The Medical College offers Medical, Master’s, Doctorates, Master of Public Health and Master of Art degrees. The Medical College works with national and international medical specialty societies and community hospitals to accredit approximately 200 continuing medical education activities annually for physicians and other health professionals.

Position Requirements:

Candidates must have an MD or PhD or foreign equivalent in epidemiology, public and community health, global health, or a closely related field.  Experience in research, teaching, and service consistent with the mission of the Division of Epidemiology & Social Sciences is expected.  Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate leadership and excellent communication skills and to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.
