Duke University Trinity College of Arts and Sciences seeks candidates for an appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure in Asian American Studies. This hire will be our third in Asian American Studies, part of a collection of cluster hires designed to increase the number of faculty with global perspectives and expertise across core departments, with support from the Office of the Provost. 

Preference will be given to candidates whose work is centrally located in Asian American Studies while also substantially linked to other fields of inquiry. Candidates will be considered in the context of the hiring department, with an interest to increase the representation of Asian American Studies across arts and sciences. This final round of the cluster hire searches will be considered by Cultural Anthropology, English, Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies, Literature, Music, and Political Science departments, in which the tenure home will be located. 

Candidates submitting materials by January 13, 2023, will receive full consideration. Candidates should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, work sample (an article or a chapter), and names of three referees. Finalists will be asked to submit three recommendation letters. Candidates should clearly indicate their preferred department from the list above in the application. Review of candidates will continue until the position is filled.
