Position: Associate Professional Specialist
Description: The Department of Geosciences at Princeton University has an opening for a professional researcher/technician in the area of ocean modeling, appointed at the rank of Associate Professional Specialist or a more senior professional specialist rank depending on experience. The successful candidate will support and lead research related to physical and biogeochemical ocean modeling and machine learning in the research group of Laure Resplandy. Duties will include ocean model code development and maintenance (MOM6, GitHub), model configuration/simulation development and running, model data analysis. Expertise with ocean, atmosphere or climate modeling is required, and experience with GitHub is a plus. A competitive salary is offered commensurate with experience and qualifications. Essential qualifications include a Ph.D. in Oceanography, Geosciences, or a related field. The position is available for one year, with a possibility for renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance.
