Associate Planner, Capital Renewal Program

ASSOCIATE PLANNER, Facilities-Campus Construction Project Planning, to perform a variety of planning activities in the administration of the Capital Renewal Program whose goal is to renew building systems and retire deferred maintenance in a comprehensive manner.  Will work with Capital Renewal Program team members to develop planning for and scoping of renovation projects, establish protocols for data collection, report on program performance metrics, and work with internal and external resources to understand and facilitate campus needs and priorities.  Will also support and complete planning studies of deferred maintenance needs; collect, analyze, adapt, and develop quantitative, qualitative, and graphic information for varying audiences/client groups; coordinate research and analysis with primary internal and external data sources; communicate clear goals and desired outcomes to individuals and groups; support multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans and proposals; refine the scope of projects as needed; administer consultant contracts; provide project support to consultants to ensure goals are achieved; and provide support for the planning team and project manager in planning or design processes.

REQUIRED: a minimum of five years’ experience in planning, architecture, engineering, or related field; a bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, engineering, architecture or architectural discipline, or facilities management; excellent communication skills; and ability to collaborate with technical professionals in a multidisciplinary and fluid environment.  Experience in urban design or higher education and LEED accreditation are preferred.  Job #14593-P
