EdPlus at Arizona State University is seeking a talented and versatile Associate Marketing Copywriter to join our high-performing content team. As an Associate Marketing Copywriter, you’ll develop customer-focused marketing copy for a wide variety of marketing assets including landing pages, web pages, video scripts, email nurture campaigns, digital advertisements, sales collateral and more. If you love implementing new and creative ideas, assisting with the creation of marketing strategies and working with a passionate, fun team, this is the position for you.

Essential Duties

  • Develop, produce and edit website copy to further educate and convert web visitors. 
  • Work with the marketing collaborative to write copy for inbound marketing efforts, SEO campaigns, email nurture and other marketing materials.
  • Edit or rewrite existing copy; read and proof materials for accuracy, style and readability, recommending changes where necessary. 
  • Oversee marketing copy to ensure compliance with project description specifications, editing grammar and punctuation, writing style, content accuracy and department requirements. 
  • Work with the multimedia, design and development teams to collaborate on marketing projects. 
  • Assist in developing and coordinating marketing research, as well as determining markets to expand audience base. 
  • Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a communication field, or in a related social science field AND one year experience in scientific or technical writing, editing, or editorial research; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.


Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing practices and principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AP style, web, design and commercial offset printing standards and practices.
  • Evidence of skill in verbal, visual and written communications including the ability to express ideas in a clear and logical manner with strong attention to detail.
  • Evidence of skill in print journalism, business writing, copy editing and publication technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an environment subject to tight deadlines which often includes conflicting priorities.
  • Evidence of a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.

Working Environment

EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.
