The Opportunity

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applicants for one full-time, non-tenure earning, 9-month faculty position at the rank of associate lecturer or senior lecturer. The primary responsibility of the position is teaching undergraduate courses related to Electrical and Computer Engineering for ECE students. This position is anticipated to begin December 21, 2023.

ECE has strong educational programs, with over 200 graduate students and 1,500 undergraduates, and state-of-the-art facilities, the L3Harris Engineering Center and Interdisciplinary Research 1 Building. Located in Orlando, UCF and ECE are at the center of Florida High Tech Corridor with an excellent industrial base in telecommunications, energy, computer systems, semiconductors, defense, space, laser, simulation, and software industries, as well as the world-renowned entertainment/theme park industry. Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in an area appropriate to the ECE disciplines by the start of the appointment, with at least 3-5 years of teaching experience for an associate lecturer position and 6-10 years of teaching experience for a senior lecturer position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with prior university-level teaching experience who will support the department’s teaching mission which may include courses related to Junior and Senior Design.
