Job Description:

Curry College is hiring a part-time Associate Lecturer to teach in-person sections of CS 3730: Writing Secure Applications. The spring semester courses begin on January 22, 2024 and will conclude as late as May 11, 2024. It is expected that teaching responsibilities for this section would occur at the College's Milton MA campus. CS 3730 is scheduled to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-215 p.m. every week.
CS 3730 Course Description:
In addition to taking precautions to protect your mobile devices, it is important to add another layer of security by protecting the data itself (US Department of Homeland Security). Mobile devices have many levels of vulnerability. Physical theft, vulnerability of data stored on the device, and vulnerability of the data in transit between the device and various servers as well as the data in the server. This course will address securing the data within a mobile device and securing data while in transit.
Part-time faculty are responsible for planning and presenting the material assigned for their courses; establishing specific requirements and informing students of the requirements; grading examinations and projects; submitting grades and early alerts in a timely fashion; explaining grades to students; and utilizing Canvas as the learning management system. Part-time faculty are expected to be available to interact electronically with students outside the classroom as well as to hold requisite office hours.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is required for classroom teaching.
  • Prior teaching and/or industry experience preferred.
