The Duke Quantum Center (DQC) invites applicants for a position as DQC Associate in Research. The DQC conducts research on the entire stack of a quantum information system from the underlying physics to hardware design, applications, and algorithms (https://quantum.duke.edu/ ). The working environment is interdisciplinary and collaborative with scientists, engineers, and mathematicians coming together to co-design the next generation of high-performance quantum systems.

The Associate in Research position is for the Summer term only and will characterize silicon ion trap surfaces in the SMIF facility using techniques such as XPS and AFM.
