Job Summary
This Associate General Counsel position in the Office of Legal Counsel’s Academics, Finance, Students and Athletics group provides expert legal counsel to senior University officials, primarily on faculty and student matters under the purview of the Provost and the Vice President for Student Success. Ten (10) years previous experience preferred. Some experience preferred with Free Speech, Religious Liberty, Due Process, and Equal Protection, and/or federal civil rights laws is preferred. Preferred experience also includes Judicial Clerkship for federal district court, federal court of appeals, or state appellate court; experience representing public institutions of higher education; and/or membership on Law Review or specialized legal journal. This position will handle complex issues, and the successful candidate will be paid in accordance with their experience and accomplishments.
