Associate, FP&A, Finance / 财务计划与分析助理

This position will report to Advisor of Finance Planning and Analysis, and will have varied responsibilities, including but not limited to assisting in the forecasting and budgeting process, completing financial analysis, and working on ad hoc projects. The candidate must be analytical and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure, prioritize their multiple deliverables and have an acute attention to detail.

 

The main responsibilities include:

  • Perform budget check and prepare budget amendments to achieve budget control on each program, grant, and cost center;
  • Review and process the requests of budget transfers from units;
  • Assist to develop continued budgeting, long-term financial planning for NYU Shanghai and NYU Shanghai Foundation;
  • Collate budget data and configuration upon the budget appropriation;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reports, and rolling forward cash flow forecast, providing variance explanations and forward-looking performance estimates;
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management as needed;
  • Assist to prepare comprehensive financial reports, business initiatives, as per the requirements of stakeholders or government;
  • Help design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management;
  • Assist in maintaining the long-term plan and budget model.


  • 1-3 years of progressive financial planning and analysis;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or relevant field;
  • Solid analytical background, attention to detail, experience managing big data sets and financial modeling;
  • A high degree of initiative and self-motivation;
  • Focus on objectives, problem solving and management skills to complete jobs on time;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin;
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, sumif, vlookup) and advanced skills PowerPoint.
