Under the direction of the Finance Manager, provides fiscal and procurement guidance and support to the College of Engineering (CoE) Research Operations that includes Engineering Research Administration (ERA), Business Operations Center (BOC), and the Engineering Sponsored Program Services office (ESPS); works as a team member to provide high level customer service to faculty, staff, and students, ensuring processing is timely, efficient, accurate and in compliance; provides detailed fiscal training and overview to new hires and presents updates at ERA team meetings, as appropriate; works with Business Operations Center (BOC) to ensure efficient processing of fiscal transactions; serves as contact for day-to-day fiscal administration for ERA; has the ability to approve financial transactions alongside of the Financial Manager; ensures all University and College policies are followed, ensures supporting documentation conforms to university guidelines; as directed by the CoE structure, ensures segregation of duties in the processing of every transaction, appropriate mandatory approvals and recognition; manages various financial processes including cost share, journals, reporting, earnings operations, and reconciliation to the GL; monitors fiscal support staff and activities; can serve as back up to Finance Manager; provides administrative support for ERA space, assets, and keys.

Bachelor's Degree: in Accounting or Business Administration or other related field.


Experience:


Required:
4 years of financial management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to manage multiple priorities in an autonomous but collaborative environment.


Desired:
Experience with university policies and procedures relating to finance and HR strongly desired; experience with university systems strongly desired; procurement process experience.


The target hiring range for this job profile is $58,100- $77,400. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
