Associate Director, Operations & Analytics

Summary

Reporting to the Associate Vice President and Executive Director, the Associate Director for Operations & Analytics is responsible for oversight and management of the activities associated with data collection, assessment, budget, and technology platforms to scale our work. The Associate Director will be a member of the Kuhlin Career Hub’s leadership team, supporting strategic planning efforts, implementations of future products and services, and reporting outcomes.


Essential Functions


  • Data Analysis and Reporting: You will be responsible for overseeing the collection and analysis of data pertaining to student engagement, assessment, employer partnerships, and career outcomes. By leveraging data analytics tools and methodologies, you will extract actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making and programmatic enhancements. Additionally, you will oversee the preparation of comprehensive reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, external partners, and accreditation purposes. Your proficiency in data analysis will be crucial in evaluating the effectiveness of our services and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technology Integration: You will play a pivotal role in assessing, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions that support the mission and goals of our team. This includes evaluating and managing career management platforms, virtual event platforms, and data management systems to enhance the user experience for students, alumni, employers, and staff. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions with existing processes and workflows, while also providing training and support to users as needed. Your expertise in technology integration will enable us to stay ahead of emerging trends and deliver innovative solutions to meet and scale the evolving needs of our stakeholders.

  • Budget Management: You will be responsible for managing the budget for the Kuhlin Career Hub under the oversight of the executive director, including forecasting, allocation, and expenditure tracking. You will work closely with the executive director to develop annual budgets aligned with strategic priorities and ensure responsible fiscal stewardship of resources. This will involve monitoring expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and advocating for budgetary needs to support the growth and sustainability of our programs and services. Your strategic approach to budget management will be essential in maximizing the impact of our resources and achieving our organizational goals.

  • Operational Support: You will spearhead the operational efficiency of our team, ensuring that all processes and procedures are optimized to deliver exceptional service to our students, corporate partners and alumni. This involves managing the day-to-day logistics of the center's physical space and collaborating closely with team members to streamline workflows to scale our programming.

  • Other duties as assigned may include but are not limited to supporting student facing programming, assisting in corporate visits, and representing the team at admissions/external facing events.


Minimum Qualifications

The following Degree is required:

  • Bachelor's Degree.  Degree must be conferred at time of application.

The following Degree is preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Statistics or related field


The following Experience is required:
  • 5 years of experience managing databases, data collection, report writing, and/or analytics



Additional Information

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working with Power BI, Tableu, or similar data management tools.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; demonstrated skill in presenting complex information to groups and individuals in an effective and understandable manner.

  • Ability to interpret customer requests, understand what they need and why, and design and deliver effective solutions.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

  • Demonstrated skills in continuous process improvement.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

  • Experience working with importing/exporting large datasets 

  • Experience in supervising or collaborating with both technical and non-technical peers

  • Knowledgeable in implementation of electronic screening and segmenting initiative results, as well as data formatting and migration in a network environment.
