Position Summary
The Associate Director of Recruiting - EMBA collaborates with a team of recruitment staff to seek top talent in senior leadership and Executive Management roles in order to drive pipeline for our Executive MBA program. This position will demonstrate business acumen, be driven by sourcing top talent, and will be innovative in her/his thinking about ways to identify, attract and recruit prospective students. This role will apply business knowledge to inform and drive the short and long term talent acquisition strategies and priorities for the EMBA program. It is expected they will demonstrate analytical capabilities and be able to influence with data-driven recommendations.
As part of the role this position will coordinate activities and develop relationships/networks with community service/organizations, alumni and development, social media, and internet sites. This role will build relationships with both internal and external sources to achieve objectives. As a cultural steward, incorporates the university and school’s Mission, Vision and Values into the talent acquisition process.
The Associate Director of Recruiting - EMBA will be responsible for driving the continued success of the EMBA program. They will need to provide regular updates on best practices in industry through benchmarking and will work across departments to drive innovation and program success.


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with senior executives of major corporate sponsors of Olin in conjunction with Olin’s Corporate Relations and internal stakeholder contacts in order to identify potential students/referrals for enrollment in our Professional MBA programs. Work with existing contacts to develop relationships with key decision makers in senior leadership in target companies.

  • Develop and execute a strategy to partner with alumni to source potential partnerships and candidates. Ensure contacts and client information in the Olin CRM system is updated.
  • Manage pipeline by maintaining extensive corporate contacts. Work with Customer Relational Management System to track communication and outreach with potential talent. Build business relationships with alumni, current and potential students. 
  • Research best practices and peer university programs in order to build an infrastructure for and manage the sourcing of talent through alumni engagement.
  • Coordinate and oversee the admissions-focused alumni engagement opportunities.
  • Define a consistent, coherent, customized and targeted approach to working with alumni and collaborate with campus partners including but not limited to, Weston Career Center, Student Affairs and others who have direct links to alumni groups.
  • Help define Key Performance Indicators, and collect and analyze data to determine impact of alumni engagement on admissions outcomes.
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow pipeline. May assist sales team with best practices in qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
  • Identify market trends and collaborate on recruitment strategies around diverse populations to develop and execute targeted diversity recruitment: military, women, ethnic, geographic, etc.
  • Ensure deep understanding of the talent need through research and conversations with various stakeholders, corporations, alumni and prospective students.
  • Supervise graduate program recruiters. Will coach, mentor and train all staff on an on-going basis.
  • Work with Admissions, Recruitment, Data and Strategy team leaders to identify market trends and develops recruitment strategies. Will lead recruiters on execution of quarterly web updates and other marketing materials in order to ensure accurate and consistent data is being presented and disseminated appropriately.

Student Engagement and Initiatives

  • Partner with student affairs team and lead EMBA specific student engagement initiatives. Surrounding specific populations including but not limited to military, women, under-represented minorities, students that travel in for the program, etc. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and maintain a robust portfolio of EMBA activities and events to keep the alumni highly engaged and to advance the continued development of our alumni. Take an active role in the engagement of our EMBA alumni advisory board.

Marketing, Events & Recruitment

  • Act as primary representative and attend recruitment events that include but are not limited to, university events, community meetings and gatherings, Olin specific events.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on referrals and attend targeted alumni events that would have the potential for referral source.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment, Financial services and other stakeholders on various committees that may include but are not limited to Corporate Partnership Programs, Alumni Engagement and Community Outreach.
  • Collaborate with Student Affairs to develop and execute EMBA growth ideas and strategies.
  • Attend networking events to represent Olin and develop new contacts.

Special Projects

  • Engage in special projects and strategic initiatives related to the EMBA program.
  • Partner with Olin senior faculty and senior leadership on the delivery of special projects. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's of Business Administration/EMaster's of Business Administration degree.
  • Business education.
  • Previous university and corporate experience helpful.
  • Knowledgeable about the school, its culture and program offerings.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented.
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing and friendly demeanor.
  • Eager to expand pipeline reach with new sales, clients and territories.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required and five years of related work experience.

Salary Range
$55,600.00 - $94,900.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
