Description of Work:


As a member of the Student Affairs team, Housing and Dining Services are integral parts of our mission to provide safe and inclusive living and learning experiences that inspire students to recognize and achieve their aspirations. The Associate Director of Housing and Dining – Strategy and Development, is a senior leadership position within a comprehensive Department of Housing, serving a nationally recognized research institution. The Associate Director of Housing and Dining – Strategy and Development plays a key role in student retention and departmental strategic development to meet the changing needs of the students of Nebraska.
The Associate Director of Housing and Dining – Strategy and Development provides leadership, direction, management, and strategic support for departmental efforts including but not limited to, Business Development; Strategic Planning, Evaluation & Assessment; Strategic Operational Continuity & Crisis planning, Organizational Sustainability and Off-Campus & Departmental Outreach efforts.
The position reports to the Executive Director of Housing and Dining. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing projects, reporting and analysis, collaborating, and building relationships with campus partners, and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.

Minimum Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Marketing, Communication, Journalism or related field. Four years of experience working in at least one of the functional areas of the position which includes, operational leadership, project management, project assessment and evaluation, business development, organizational development, operational continuity and/or similar experiences. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and concurrently prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.
· Ability to work independently, exercise mature professional judgment, and use discretion.
· Ability to function in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life. You are at the center of our entire organization, constantly interacting with teammates and prospects.
· Ability to use data to drive strategy and monitor results.

Preferred Qualifications:


Master's degree is preferred. Prior Sales or Business Development experience. Prior experience with college/university housing, dining, or event operations.
· Ability to be a persuasive presenter.
· Knowledge of College Housing, Dining, Union (Event) space and operation

Posted Salary: $75,000/yr. minimum
