Associate Director of Housing and Auxiliary Services

Creighton University is seeking to hire an Associate Director for Housing and Auxiliary Services.

 

This position serves as the university occupancy manager and is responsible for direction of all housing application processes, student room assignments and meal plan selection, providing leadership and support for summer camp and conference operations, and developing tools and systems to support these functions throughout the Division of Student Life.

 

The Associate Director for Housing and Auxiliary Services supervises and supports the Housing Assignments Coordinator and Administrative Assistant for Housing and Residential Life. Provides expertise for divisional revenue projections, tracking, analysis, and data management. Serves as administrator for divisional resources that support the functions of the areas reporting to the position. Is responsible for ensuring exceptional and efficient customer service of all clients of Creighton University in the capacities for which they interact with the Division of Student Life.

 

The Associate Director is responsible for crafting multiple year revenue models and is responsible for management and analysis of the university housing management system.  Leading and administering all key housing functions from new student applications, to returning student housing lottery. This position plays a critical leadership role within the division and department.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in higher education, business or related field required. Master's degree in higher education, business, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in residence life, housing administration, events management, or a related area.
  • Knowledge of or experience with occupancy management or housing software (StarRez preferred). Ability to organize data, information and produce reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Diplomacy and demonstrated supervisory, leadership and staff development skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while accurately attending to details.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel tools, formulas and functions is desired.
  • Must be able to collaborate with other departments including Enrollment Management, Student Accessibility Services, the schools & colleges, Registrar, Financial Aid, University Communications and Marketing, Athletics, Facilities Management, and Dining.
  • Services, with the goal of effectively resolving issues and concerns.
  • Marketing and communication skills to include review and writing of publications, contracts, website development, and other social media.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of major events.
