Position Focus:

The Associate Director of Enrollment Services serves as the school’s Registrar, planning and administering student enrollment services. The Associate Director promotes novel technology that will streamline administrative processes, supports the functions of YSN Curriculum Council, manages student registration, monitors student academic progress towards degree requirements, manages academic and employment verifications and manages student credentials and enrollment data. The Associate Director of Enrollment Services and Registrar plays a key role in developing print and online resources that describe academic requirements and enrollment policies for YSN students and ultimately ensures a smooth experience for YSN students. In all work, supports YSN diversity and inclusion values and commitments.

Essential Duties

1.  Provides oversight and management for information on registrarial, administrative, academic, and procedural matters to current students, prospective students, faculty, staff and graduates. Work independently to trouble-shoot any matters regarding academic and registrarial services at Yale Nursing.  2.  Direct the Registrar Office’s services and operations supporting approximately 430 students with varying curriculum needs for degree programs and specialty tracks. Services include registration and creation of schedules, billing student tuition, issuing/providing degree verifications, issuing transcripts, maintaining student records, statistical reporting, etc.  3.  Collaborate with relevant YSN offices to ensure courses are created in an accurate and  timely manner to meet faculty and student needs (Academic Support Unit, Business Office, etc.).  4.  Oversee the development and maintenance of systems and processes (online forms, data requests, set deadlines, etc.) that assist with course scheduling and related tasks.  5.  Leads maintenance of the YSN Bulletin, which contains academic policies, procedures, and degree requirements.  6.  Work with Yale Health and university offices to monitor registration holds and follows process of alerting the student(s), faculty, and key staff to ensure compliance with university and YSN policies.  7.  Serves as the primary liaison to the University Registrar’s Office to ensure compliance with registrarial functions, administrative policies and procedures.  8.  Advise individual students with registration and other academic support requests. Additionally, collaborates with Registrars of other schools to support PhD and joint degree students and students registering for courses across Yale schools.  9.  Oversee licensure and boards certification process for all programs, working closely with program and specialty faculty.  10. Oversee student records and conducts audits transcripts for all graduating students to ensure compliance program requirements for graduation and licensure boards.  11. Compile statistical data and information. Summarizes and analyzes data for reports.  12. Responsible for maintaining and updating web based and printed materials on academic policies, program and graduation requirements and other academic resources to support the student experience and curricular needs of the school.  13. Supervise the work of the office staff, including hiring, providing feedback, providing evaluations, and training.   14. Participates and assists with large scale functions and office initiatives as needed.


Required Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and four years of experience in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Master’s Degree in a relevant field. Experience with Banner database, registrar services and reporting tools, and prior experience in academic affairs or student services areas.
