The Executive Education department of the Stanford Graduate School of Business seeks an Associate Director of Contracts. You will be responsible for overseeing all custom program contract negotiation and execution for GSB Executive Education. You will independently draft, negotiate and administer Executive Education custom client agreements in collaboration with the Office of General Counsel, Business Development Directors and Programs Team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to align Stanford and client organizations on legal, financial and logistical aspects of custom programs.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct formal negotiations, finalize and administer complex custom client agreements.
  • Negotiate terms included in Master Agreement, Statement of Work, and Data Addendum with guidance from the Office of General Counsel.
  • Identify contractual issues such as IP, risk management, and data management. Raise issues to the appropriate Executive Education Leadership team, and provide follow-through until resolved.
  • Support the contract renewal process for existing clients.
  • Monitor overall contract expirations and deliverables.
  • Review and revise standard agreements to reflect changes in University policies, Federal regulations, and laws.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Significant experience with B2B contracts administration; demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients.
  • Advanced communication skills to clearly communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups and all levels of management.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills to review and analyze complex information.
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to work well independently, but also able to seek out assistance when needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good judgment and the ability to conduct negotiations in a timely manner.
