As the Associate Director of Neurophysiology, you will lead a team that cares for patients diagnosed with a brain or nerve condition, seeking the most advanced care from top specialists in the field. Cedars-Sinai is a leader in the treatment of more than 150 complex neurological disorders, and conducts research that brings new hope for patients and caregivers. Our neurosurgeons and neurologists work together with experienced care teams to give patients the most effective treatment possible.

Under supervision of the Executive Director, Neurosciences and the Medical Director, the Associate Director, Neurophysiology coordinates daily operations and all Neurodiagnostic systems for the Neurophysiology Laboratory. You will assign and manage the work of all Technologists, in a full range of activities including patient/client service, Human Resources, purchasing, neurodiagnostic testing, supply and procurement, policy and procedure development, revenue generation, and other clinical and/or operational matters.

Summary of Essential Duties:

  • Provide insight, direction and guidance regarding the clinical operations and research activities for the Neurophysiology team and department
  • Assign work and manage a team of clinicians by conveying clear performance expectations with consistent follow up
  • Guide staff in meeting customer's needs consistent with the Medical Center's philosophy, mission, vision and strategic plan, the Plan for Provision of Patient Care, the Performance Improvement Plan, and Professional Organization Standards
  • Responsible for reviewing and updating systems and processes to keep them efficient and in compliance with CSHS policies, Joint Commission and other outside agency requirements
  • Serve as liaison with medical staff and other personnel
  • Assume fiscal responsibility through preparation of, and oversight for, unit budgets
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, managing schedules, personnel actions, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Master's Degree in Neurophysiology or related field preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Certification in Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (CNIM) from ABRET required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Neurodiagnostic technologies required
  • At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience and overseeing department(s)/service line(s) in a healthcare setting required
